as a creative, i have a responsibility to protect my work.. i am the first line of defense to preventing others from inappropriately using and profiting from my efforts.
but how are either of these pieces of proposed legislation, SOPA & PIPA, supposed to help me? what exactly do they resolve and for whom?
have you tried to read these pieces of legislation? seriously... a government for the people, by the people - but what people can understand this malarkey? and do our elected officials read every line and comprehend what it is about?
the talk on these items has died down since the 'blackout' for the time being... but they have not gone away - stay tuned in to what your elected leaders are doing and let them know what you want them to do.... they represent you.
I know that I don't have enough money to lobby influence at this... but I can speak up and be heard.
... stay our of trouble... and do your homework - be responsible
